Our Financial Literacy Curriculum
At Young Money Academy, we believe every child deserves a head start on financial confidence.
Our curriculum is designed around five foundational pillars that grow with the learner—
from kindergarten through 8th grade.
Money Mindset
Build a healthy relationship with money.
Children learn to recognize the difference between needs and wants, explore how emotions influence spending, and begin to develop a mindset of responsibility, gratitude, and self-control around money.
Earning & Entrepreneurship
Understand how money is made—and how to make more of it.
Students explore real-world ways to earn money, from chores and allowances to starting their own businesses. Along the way, they build creativity, resilience, and problem-solving skills through hands-on entrepreneurial challenges.
Saving & Growing Wealth
Make smart choices that lead to long-term gains.
Students practice setting goals, building savings, and making spending trade-offs. They’re introduced to basic investing, the power of compound interest, and the habits that support long-term financial health.
Credit & Borrowing Smart
Use money you don’t have—wisely.
Students learn the essentials of borrowing, credit scores, interest rates, and debt. Through age-appropriate scenarios, they practice making informed decisions and explore the consequences of different choices..
Protecting What Matters
Prepare for the unexpected.
Learners discover why insurance, emergency funds, and long-term planning are important. They’ll explore the concept of risk, and how preparation today can protect your future tomorrow.
